Sure, I could start this with a “Hi, my name is Ian. This is the blog section of my new web site. I hope you enjoy, blah blah boring” post, but there’s really no point to that, so instead, I’m going to jump in with an actual blog post.

I opened the mail today to find a completely unexpected (well, as in I didn’t expect it today, not that I never expected to see it) advance copy of Ranking the First Ladies! Publication date is still July 5th, but now I’ve got an actual hardcover book that I wrote with my name on the front cover and everything! Very exciting times here.
