Essays / Opinion

In addition to my non-fiction writing, I also write opinion pieces and essays. While many appear on my blogs, the following list is a collection of such pieces that were published in more traditional outlets. The list starts with my first, surprise, publication. As a college student, I’d written a letter to The New York Times, and one day, having momentarily forgotten I’d written it, I was reading the letters column in the Times, read one with which I agreed, and then saw the byline was my own name. It was a very gratifying experience.
