A day away

After the intensity of the last three weeks—both work and Mensa—I decided I needed a break. So Sunday, I did not turn on the computer, did not listen to the news, did not read the (it looks like 18) text messages I received in the various text-messaging services, did not take any phone calls. And to make sure the break was complete, I participated in something that required concentration so that I was focused on something external to myself and outside of all of the things that have been preying on my mind. It worked. It was a very restful day. Well, not restful, but I was focused elsewhere and able to recharge. At any rate, that’s why you didn’t hear from me yesterday, if you tried to contact me.
